Elevate your crumble game with frozen fruit - a delicious twist worth trying!
Ingredients:
  • 1 kg mixed frozen berries and cherries
  • 100 g sugar (I used a mixture of golden caster, soft brown and demerara)
  • ½ an orange
  • 50 g unsalted butter (cold)
  • 100 g plain flour
  • 100 g flaked almonds
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 200°C/400°F/gas 6. In a saucepan, combine frozen berries, half the sugar, and orange juice. Cook on medium heat for 5 to 8 minutes until sugar dissolves and fruit softens. Remove from heat and cool. Mix butter and flour until crumbly, then add almonds and remaining sugar. Pour berry mixture into a baking dish and top with crumble mixture. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until golden. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
