Decadently moist cake, a beloved favorite by many.
Ingredients:
  • 2 eggs
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 1 (15.25 ounce) can fruit cocktail with juice
  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 teaspoons baking soda
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 0.66670000553131 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup flaked coconut
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan, then sift together the flour and baking soda; set aside.
  • Mix together eggs, sugar, and fruit cocktail in a large bowl. Gradually blend in the flour mixture. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Prick the top with a fork and spread topping while hot.
  • For the delicious topping: Combine 1 cup sugar, butter, evaporated milk, and coconut in a saucepan. Bring to a rolling boil over medium heat.
