Fruited Gorgonzola and Cheddar Melts

Cheesy apple and pear open-faced sandwiches.
Ingredients:
  • 4 slices bread, each 1-inch thick
  • 1 large apple, cored and cut into 8 rings
  • 1 large ripe pear, sliced
  • 4 ounces Cheddar cheese, sliced
  • 4 ounces Gorgonzola cheese, crumbled
Instructions:
  • Preheat broiler. Place bread on ungreased cookie sheet. Broil 1 to 2 minutes, or until tops are golden brown, then flip.
  • Arrange the apple rings and pear slices on the bread slices, then sprinkle with cheeses. Broil for 2 to 4 minutes until the cheese starts to melt.
