"Velvety garlic mashed potatoes - simple to make, packed with rich flavor, and irresistibly creamy."
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 8 potatoes, peeled and quartered
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • salt to taste
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 pinch ground white pepper
Instructions:
  • Prepare all your ingredients.
  • In a medium saucepan, place potatoes, garlic, and 1 tablespoon of salt. Cover with water by 1 inch. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce to medium-low and simmer until potatoes are fork-tender, about 10 to 12 minutes.
  • After draining the potatoes, place them back in the warm saucepan. Stir continuously until they are dry, which should take approximately 1 minute.
  • Incorporate the butter gradually, stirring gently until melted after each addition.
  • Mash the potatoes with milk until creamy, then mix in 1 teaspoon of salt and white pepper.
  • Place the potatoes in a decorative serving bowl and add additional butter on top to taste.
