Garlic mushrooms with toasted baguette

Elevate your toast with a chic baguette twist on mushrooms.
Ingredients:
  • 30g (1 1/2 tbsp) butter
  • 1 red onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 500g button mushrooms, thickly sliced
  • 82.50 ml chopped fresh continental parsley
  • 21.00 gm fresh lemon juice
  • 30cm baguette (French stick), cut into 1cm-thick slices
Instructions:
  • In a medium non-stick frying pan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the onion and garlic, cooking uncovered and stirring regularly for about 4 minutes until the onion is slightly soft. Increase the heat to medium-high, add the mushrooms, and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender and light golden. Mix in the parsley and lemon juice, stir for 1 minute until well combined and heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Toast the baguette slices until golden brown, then arrange on serving plates. Top with the savory garlic mushrooms and serve promptly for optimal taste.
