Buttery garlic mushrooms with red wine and basil, perfect on toast or alongside grilled steaks.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 pounds sliced fresh mushrooms
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 cup red wine
Instructions:
  • In a skillet over medium heat, sauté mushrooms and garlic in butter until mushrooms are golden brown and liquid evaporates, about 10 minutes. Mix in basil.
  • Lower the heat to a gentle simmer, then gracefully pour the wine into the skillet. Allow it to simmer until the wine has almost completely evaporated. Serve promptly to enjoy the flavors at their peak.
