Delicious garlicky Asian-inspired seitan recipe, perfect with noodles, stir fry, rice, or mashed potatoes and green beans. Enjoy this unique and flavorful dish!
Ingredients:
  • 0.25 cup olive oil
  • 0.5 cup chopped onion
  • 5 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 0.25 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages chicken style seitan
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
Instructions:
  • In a skillet, warm olive oil over medium-low heat. Sauté onions and garlic until lightly browned. Increase heat to medium, add green pepper and seitan, stirring to coat evenly. Season with salt and pepper. Cover, simmer on low for 35 minutes to let flavors meld. Dissolve cornstarch in cold water, stir in, and cook until thickened. Serve hot.
