Create a decadent German chocolate cake with luscious coconut-pecan frosting.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package Pillsbury® Moist Supreme® German Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup Crisco® Pure Vegetable Oil
  • 1 (14 ounce) can EAGLE BRAND® Sweetened Condensed Milk, divided
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 0.33333334326744 cup chopped pecans
  • 0.33333334326744 cup flaked coconut
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease and flour a 13x9-inch baking pan.
  • Combine cake mix, water, eggs, oil, and 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk in a large bowl. Mix with an electric mixer on low speed until moistened, then beat on high speed for 2 minutes. Pour batter into the prepared pan.
  • Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 40-45 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • In a saucepan over medium heat, mix together the rest of the sweetened condensed milk, butter, and egg yolk. Stir and cook until thickened, about 6 minutes. Then, stir in pecans, coconut, and vanilla until well combined. Let the frosting cool slightly before using.
  • Cover warm cake with a generous layer of frosting, then store any leftovers in the fridge.
