Transform classic German chocolate cake into 24 easy and delicious cookies with a coconut-pecan topping. Just 6 ingredients and no one will know you used a cookie mix! A standout addition to any cookie tray.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened baking cocoa
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tub (15.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Rich & Creamy Coconut Pecan Frosting
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine butter and egg in a medium bowl, then mix in cookie mix, cocoa, and water until a soft dough forms.
  • Place spoonfuls of dough onto a cookie sheet without greasing it, keeping them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake the cookies for 7 to 9 minutes until set. Allow them to cool for 1 minute, then transfer to a cooling rack. Let them cool completely for about 15 minutes.
  • Spread cookies generously with delectable coconut pecan frosting.
