Create a show-stopping giant cupcake from scratch that will steal the spotlight at any celebration!
Ingredients:
  • 1.75 cups white sugar
  • 1.5 cups unsalted butter, softened
  • 2.75 cups self-rising flour, sifted
  • 6 medium eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Grease and flour a metal giant cupcake pan generously, tapping out any excess flour. For a silicone cake pan, no greasing is necessary.
  • In a bowl, cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy using an electric mixer. Gradually add flour and beaten eggs in turns, mixing well after each addition. Mix in vanilla extract, then evenly distribute the batter between the top and bottom giant cupcake pans.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes to 1 hour, or until a tester inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, frost and decorate with your favorite frosting.
