Giant Polka Dot Cookies

Make giant, delicious cookies filled with colorful M&M's™ candies - a hit for kids and adults alike!
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 3/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups M&M's® chocolate candies
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. In a large bowl, cream together sugars, butter, shortening, vanilla, and eggs until smooth. Add flour, baking soda, and salt, then mix in the candies.
  • Place 1/4 cupfuls of dough on a large ungreased cookie sheet, making sure they are 3 inches apart.
  • Bake until light golden brown for 12 to 16 minutes. Allow to cool for 3 minutes, then transfer from the cookie sheet to a wire rack.
