Asian-inspired chicken meatballs with scallions, ginger, and garlic - a flavorful twist on the classic dish, simple to make.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground chicken (preferably dark meat)
  • 0.5 cup plain dry bread crumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 tablespoons peeled and minced fresh ginger
  • 0.33333334326744 cup minced scallions
  • 2 teaspoons soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoons toasted sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.25 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C) and cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine ground chicken, bread crumbs, egg, ginger, minced scallions, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and kosher salt in a large bowl and mix well.
  • Shape the mixture into 1 1/2-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet.
  • Coat the meatballs with canola oil and bake in the preheated oven until golden brown and fully cooked, approximately 13 minutes. Place on a serving platter.
