Quick and flavorful 4-star veggie side dish ready in just 20 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 6 medium carrots, sliced (3 cups)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped crystallized ginger
Instructions:
  • Bring 1 inch of water to a boil in a 3-quart saucepan, add carrots. Simmer for about 5 minutes until carrots are tender but still crisp. Drain and set aside.
  • In a saucepan, combine sugar, butter, and ginger over low heat, stirring constantly until bubbly. Add carrots and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until carrots are glazed and heated through.
