Elevate your Christmas side with a sticky gingerbread glaze for irresistible flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 3 bunches Dutch carrots, trimmed, peeled
  • 30g biscuit
  • 60g butter
  • 32.00 gm brown sugar
  • 2.50 gm ground ginger
  • 1.25 gm mixed spice
Instructions:
  • Steam the carrots over gently simmering water in a steamer until they are tender crisp, about 3-5 minutes.
  • To prepare the gingerbread glaze, melt butter with sugar, ginger, and mixed spice in a large frying pan over medium heat. Stir until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Combine the carrots with the gingerbread glaze mixture, season, and toss to coat evenly. Transfer to a serving platter and sprinkle chopped gingerbread on top.
