Spicy ginger-soy marinade elevates baked salmon with a touch of wasabi for perfect heat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.66666668653488 cup light soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons rice wine
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoon wasabi paste
  • 2 (5 ounce) salmon fillets
Instructions:
  • In a skillet over medium heat, warm sesame oil. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Then, transfer to a large glass or ceramic bowl.
  • Whisk together soy sauce, rice wine, rice vinegar, ginger, and wasabi paste in the garlic-sesame oil mixture. Add salmon fillets and coat them evenly. Marinate in the refrigerator for 20 minutes, covered with plastic wrap.
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lay parchment paper on a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Remove the fillets from the marinade, gently shake off the excess, and arrange them on the baking sheet. Discard any leftover marinade.
  • Cook until the fish easily flakes with a fork in the preheated oven, about 10 to 15 minutes.
