Whimsical gingerbread pancakes made with Bisquick®, apple butter, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Get apple butter in the jam aisle.
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/2 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3/4 cup apple butter
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 can (6.4-oz size) Betty Crocker™ Easy Flow white decorating icing
  • Small candies
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, whisk together all pancake ingredients until smooth. Preheat griddle or skillet over medium-high heat (375°F). Test the griddle by sprinkling a few drops of water on it - if bubbles jump around, it's ready. Brush with vegetable oil or spray with cooking spray before heating.
  • Pour a 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto a hot griddle. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until bubbles form on top and edges are dry. Flip the pancake and cook the other side until golden brown.
  • Cut out gingerbread boy or girl shapes from each warm pancake using a 3 1/2 to 4-inch cookie cutter. Decorate with icing and candies as desired.
