Delicious gingerbread scones, a festive holiday treat, can be enjoyed plain or with a sweet glaze.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 0.5 cup cold butter
  • 0.5 cup skim milk
  • 0.25 cup fancy molasses
  • 0.5 tablespoon raw sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) and prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves until combined. Use a fork or pastry cutter to blend in the butter until crumbly. Stir in milk and molasses until fully incorporated.
  • Transfer dough to the baking sheet and shape into an 8-inch round disk, 3/4-inch thick, using your hands. Sprinkle the top with raw sugar, then cut it into 8 wedges.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until beautifully golden, for about 17-20 minutes.
