A delicious and crunchy Chex™ chocolate snack perfect for fueling up, making 16 servings to enjoy anytime or share at a party!
Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 cups Corn Chex™ cereal
  • 4 cups Rice Chex™ cereal
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper. In a large microwave-safe bowl, microwave brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup uncovered on High for 1 to 2 minutes. Stir after 1 minute until melted and smooth. Add baking soda and stir until dissolved. Mix in cereals.
  • Microwave on High for 3 minutes, stirring every minute. Transfer to a cookie sheet to cool for approximately 10 minutes. Break into bite-size pieces.
  • Place chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on High for about 1 minute 30 seconds until smooth and easily stirrable (bowl will be hot). Drizzle melted chocolate over the snack, then refrigerate for 30 minutes until the chocolate sets. Store the snack in an airtight container.
