Caramelly Chocolate Chex® cereal: sweet, crunchy perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 8 cups Chocolate Chex™ cereal
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 6 tablespoons butter or margarine
  • 3 tablespoons light corn syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 cup white vanilla baking chips or chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • In a large microwave-safe bowl, measure out the cereal and set it aside. Line a cookie sheet with waxed paper.
  • Microwave brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup in a 2-cup measuring cup on High for 1-2 minutes until melted and smooth, stirring after 1 minute. Stir in baking soda until dissolved. Pour over cereal, mix well, and microwave on High for 3 minutes, stirring every minute. Spread onto a cookie sheet, let cool for 10 minutes, then break into bite-size pieces.
  • Place vanilla baking chips in a small microwavable bowl and microwave them uncovered on High for about 1 minute 30 seconds or until they can be stirred smooth (bowl will be hot). Drizzle the melted chips over the snack, then refrigerate until set. Store in a tightly covered container.
