Goat Cheese and Bacon Pops

Basil cream cheese and goat cheese pops wrapped in crispy bacon and pecans. Quick and tasty party appetizer ready in just 40 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 4 oz (half of 8-oz package) cream cheese
  • 1 package (4 oz) chèvre (goat) cheese
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil leaves
  • 16 paper lollipop sticks
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/4 cup crumbled cooked bacon
Instructions:
  • Place waxed paper on a cookie sheet. In a food processor, blend cream cheese, chèvre cheese, and 1 teaspoon of basil until smooth.
  • Shape the mixture into balls using a small cookie scoop and place them on a cookie sheet. Insert a lollipop stick into each ball and freeze for 20 minutes.
  • Using a food processor, pulse pecans, bacon, and 1 teaspoon basil until finely ground. Roll cheese balls in the bacon mixture, gently pressing it onto the balls to adhere.
  • Enjoy right away, or refrigerate in a covered container until ready to serve.
