Try this simple and tasty honey snaps recipe using golden syrup, a beloved English liquid sweetener prized for its rich, toasty taste.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons golden syrup
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter, honey, and golden syrup over medium heat, stirring until well combined. Remove from heat, stir in baking soda, and set aside.
  • Combine the flour and sugar in a mixing bowl, stirring until well-blended. Add the butter mixture to the bowl, mixing thoroughly. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the baking sheet.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown. Allow to cool on the baking sheet briefly before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
