Gooey S'mores Bars

Indulge in decadent milk chocolate layered marshmallow bars - a stunning dessert to amaze your guests.
Ingredients:
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2 1/3 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/3 cup Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 bag (11.5 oz) milk chocolate chips (2 cups)
  • 1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow creme
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F and generously grease a 13x9-inch pan with shortening or cooking spray.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer or mix by hand to combine sugar, butter, vanilla, and egg until light and fluffy. Add graham cracker crumbs, flour, and salt, then set aside 2 cups of the mixture. Press the remaining mixture into a pan to form the crust.
  • Sprinkle chocolate chips on crust and gently press. Spoon marshmallow creme over chocolate chips. Use a wet spoon to spread the creme. Add marshmallows on top. Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture and press lightly.
  • Bake for 17 to 22 minutes or until marshmallows are puffed and lightly golden. Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes, then cut into 6 rows by 4 rows to make bars.
