Grandma's classic apple crisp: made with fresh Granny Smith apples, perfect for a simple and tasty fall dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 6 medium Granny Smith apples - peeled, cored and sliced
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, diced
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix together apples, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg for the filling, then transfer to the baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, mix together brown sugar, flour, oats, butter, and cinnamon for the topping. Sprinkle the mixture on top of the filling.
  • Bake in the oven until golden and bubbly, approximately 1 hour.
