Quick and easy homemade grape jelly.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups grape juice
  • 5.25 cups white sugar
  • 1 (2 ounce) package powdered fruit pectin
Instructions:
  • Sterilize and dry jelly jars, preferably in the dishwasher for convenience. Use new lids for optimal results.
  • In a large pot over medium-high heat, simmer grape juice and pectin until boiling. Stir vigorously for one minute. Add sugar and stir until completely dissolved. Take off the heat.
  • Pour the hot jelly into jars, leaving a 1/2 inch space at the top. Clean the jar rims, seal with lid and ring, then let stand at room temperature for 24 hours before refrigerating. The jelly will set within a week and is ready to serve. Keep refrigerated for up to three weeks. For long term storage, process in a hot water bath for 10 minutes or refer to your local extension for specific processing times.
