Authentic Italian great-grandma's pizza crust recipe, fully customizable toppings.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup warm water
  • 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
  • 0.5 teaspoon white sugar
  • 4.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 0.33333334326744 cup olive oil
Instructions:
  • In a small bowl, mix together 1/2 cup warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let it sit until it becomes foamy, approximately 5 minutes.
  • In a large bowl, thoroughly blend the flour and salt. Incorporate the water, oil, and yeast mixture, ensuring all ingredients are well combined.
  • Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead until it forms a smooth lump, approximately 5 minutes. Place the dough in a large greased bowl, cover, and allow it to rise in a warm spot until doubled in size, around 2 hours.
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Split the dough in half and evenly spread each half onto 2 pizza pans to create two 16-inch pizzas.
