Green Chile and Rice Casserole

Festive green chile rice dish, a crowd favorite for 25 years, with customizable low-fat toppings.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (6 ounce) package dry instant long grain and wild rice mix
  • 1 (8 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 (4 ounce) can chopped green chiles, drained
  • 1 (16 ounce) package shredded Cheddar cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) and lightly grease a medium baking dish.
  • Cook the instant long grain and wild rice mix as instructed on the package.
  • Layer half of the cooked rice mixture at the bottom of the baking dish. Combine sour cream and green chiles in a bowl. Spread half of the sour cream mixture over the rice and sprinkle half of the cheese on top. Repeat the layering process.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes, or until bubbling.
