Zesty green salsa with tomatillos, serrano pepper, onion, and garlic.
Ingredients:
  • 10 tomatillos, husked and rinsed
  • 8 serrano chile peppers, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 2 tablespoons salt, or to taste
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, combine tomatillos, serrano peppers, onion, and garlic, cover with water, sprinkle salt, and bring to a boil. Simmer on medium-low heat until tomatillos are soft and slightly browned, about 20-30 minutes. Add water as needed to prevent burning.
  • Transfer the cooked vegetables to a blender and puree until creamy.
