Enhance fresh vegetables with delicate seasonings to let their natural flavors shine.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup baby-cut carrots, cut lengthwise in half
  • 4 oz fresh green beans (1 cup)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons olive or vegetable oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried marjoram leaves
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic pepper
  • Dash of salt
  • 1/2 medium red onion, cut into 1/2-inch wedges
Instructions:
  • Preheat gas or charcoal grill. Toss all ingredients, excluding onion, in a medium bowl. Transfer to a grill basket (also known as a grill "wok") and set aside the oil mixture in the bowl.
  • Grill vegetables covered over medium heat for 10 minutes. Toss onion in the oil mixture in a bowl to coat. Add onion to the grill basket. Continue grilling covered for an additional 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket or stirring vegetables occasionally, until all vegetables are crisp-tender.
