Harissa-marinated grilled chicken thighs with a zesty lemon twist, drizzled with a spicy-sweet harissa-honey glaze to elevate the flavors to new heights!
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons harissa spice blend (powder)
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 4 bone-in, skin on chicken thighs
  • 1 tablespoon harissa
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
Instructions:
  • Mix together the harissa spice blend, zesty lemon juice, fragrant olive oil, and pungent garlic in a bowl. Massage the flavorful spice mixture onto the chicken thighs, making sure to get it under the skin. Chill in the refrigerator for 1 to 4 hours. Take it out of the fridge 20 minutes before grilling to let the flavors mingle.
  • Prepare your outdoor grill by preheating it to medium-high heat and lightly oiling the grate.
  • Start by searing chicken thighs, skin side down, on the hot grill for 3 to 4 minutes. Flip and grill for another 3 to 4 minutes. Keep flipping every few minutes until the internal temperature hits 165ºF, for a total of about 20 to 25 minutes. Rest the cooked chicken on a plate, covered with foil, for 5 minutes before serving.
  • In a small microwave-safe bowl, mix harissa seasoning, honey, and melted butter to create a flavorful glaze. Microwave for about 10 seconds until warmed and slightly thinned. Drizzle over chicken before serving.
