Elevate grilled sirloin steak with a flavorful Asian marinade of soy sauce, ginger, and rice vinegar.
Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped gingerroot
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 6 medium green onions, sliced (6 tablespoons)
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 boneless beef sirloin steak, 1 1/2 inches thick (2 1/4 lb)
Instructions:
  • Combine all ingredients in a large resealable plastic bag, excluding the beef.
  • Make shallow cuts on the beef every half inch and a quarter inch deep to enhance flavor absorption and even cooking. Place the beef in a bag, seal it, and coat the beef by turning the bag. Marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours, remembering to turn the bag once after 1 hour.
  • Preheat gas or charcoal grill. Take beef out of the marinade; keep the marinade aside. Dry the beef with a paper towel. Grill beef over medium heat with the lid on for 10 minutes, then flip and cook for 10-15 more minutes until medium-rare (145°F). Add 2 more minutes for medium (160°F).
  • Heat up the reserved marinade over medium-high heat until it boils. Let it boil for 3 minutes, stirring often. Remove and discard the garlic.
  • Slice the beef and drizzle the sauce over the top before serving.
