Juicy lamb burgers with a flavorful blend of oregano, red pepper flakes, mint, and sherry.
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 pounds ground lamb
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dry sherry
  • 1 teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • 0.5 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 0.5 cup chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint, or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 2 tablespoons dry bread crumbs
  • 0.125 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 5 hamburger buns
Instructions:
  • Prepare the outdoor grill by heating it to medium-high heat and lightly oiling the grate.
  • Combine the lamb, egg, oregano, sherry, vinegar, red pepper flakes, garlic, green onions, mint, cilantro, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl. Use your hands to mix everything evenly. Shape the mixture into five patties.
  • Grill the burgers on high heat to your preferred doneness, about 4 minutes per side for medium-rare. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C) when checked with a thermometer. Serve on buns.
