Indulge in succulent grilled lobster tails with herbed garlic butter. Customize the butter with your favorite flavors for a gourmet experience.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup salted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 1 dash hot sauce
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 4 (6 ounce) lobster tails
  • 4 (10 inch) skewers
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, or to taste
  • kosher salt to taste
  • 1 medium lemon, cut into wedges
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, blend together the butter, minced garlic, hot sauce, and pepper until fully mixed. Set aside.
  • Prepare your outdoor grill by preheating it to medium-high heat and lightly oiling the grate.
  • To butterfly lobster tails, use kitchen shears to cut through the top shells and meat lengthwise. Gently separate the shell halves with your fingers. Flip the tails over and insert a skewer to prevent curling. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle with salt.
  • Start by placing the lobster tails on the preheated grill with the cut shell sides down. Grill until the shells are bright in color, which should take about 5 to 8 minutes. Then, flip the lobster tails and spoon 1 tablespoon of the butter mixture onto the meat through the cut in the shell. Continue grilling until the lobster meat turns opaque white, which should be around 4 to 7 more minutes, basting once more with the butter mixture.
  • Take the grilled lobster tails off the grill and garnish with extra garlic butter and lemon wedges before serving.
