Grilled polenta with Grand Marnier strawberries: A sophisticated and delicious summer dessert for grown-ups.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup hulled and sliced strawberries
  • 0.5 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon brandy-based orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier®)
  • 1 (16 ounce) package prepared polenta
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed
  • 1 pinch salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a small bowl, combine sliced strawberries with sugar and brandy, stirring to coat. Allow to sit while you make the polenta.
  • Slice the polenta into 8 pieces measuring 1/2 to 3/4 inch in thickness. Gently brush each slice with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Prepare the outdoor grill by heating it to medium-high heat and giving the grate a light spray.
  • Grill the polenta slices for 7 to 10 minutes on each side, turning only once. Serve by placing 2 slices on a dessert plate and topping them with 1/4 of the strawberry mixture.
