Maple soy marinated grilled salmon fillets for a flavorful meal for two.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger root
  • 0.5 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 2 (5 ounce) salmon fillets
Instructions:
  • In a container with a tight-fitting lid, mix soy sauce, maple syrup, garlic, ginger, pepper, and salt. Add salmon, flesh-side down, and seal. Refrigerate and marinate for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the outdoor grill on high heat, lightly oil the grate, then reduce one side to low heat.
  • Grill the salmon skin-side down over low heat with the lid closed. Cook for about 20 minutes, basting once with the reserved marinade, until easily flaked with a fork. Remove the salmon from the grill by sliding a spatula between the flesh and skin.
