Savory grilled bread with butter, salt, and pepper - a perfect effortless side dish for any outdoor cookout.
Ingredients:
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 0.25 cup butter, room temperature
Instructions:
  • Preheat the grill until it reaches medium heat.
  • Slice the loaf lengthwise, ensuring not to cut all the way through. Spread half of the butter on the inside surfaces and season with salt and pepper. Use the remaining butter to coat the outside of the bread and season with salt and pepper.
  • Grill loaf cut-side down until golden brown, checking frequently, for 3 to 5 minutes. Flip with tongs and grill until crispy on each side, checking often, for 3 to 5 minutes per side.
  • Use tongs to elegantly transfer the loaf to a cutting board, then slice it into 10 beautifully angled slices.
