Grilled Smoked Sausage and Cheddar Potato Foil Packs

Elevate your grill game with a Betty Crocker recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup process Cheddar cheese sauce (from 15-oz jar)
  • 1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (2 oz)
  • 2 cups frozen bell pepper and onion stir-fry (from 1-lb bag)
  • 2 cups refrigerated cooked diced potatoes with onions (from 20-oz bag)
  • 1 lb fully cooked smoked beef sausage, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces
Instructions:
  • Preheat a gas or charcoal grill. Cut 4 sheets of heavy-duty foil measuring 18x12 inches each and coat them with cooking spray.
  • Combine cheese sauce and cheese in a bowl. Add stir-fry vegetables and potatoes, then mix well. Place 4 sausage pieces and 1 cup of the potato mixture in the center of each foil sheet. Fold the foil to seal tightly, leaving room for heat circulation and expansion. Fold the other sides to seal completely.
  • Grill the packets over medium-low heat for 20 to 25 minutes, rotating them halfway through, until the potatoes are tender. Before serving, make a large X cut on top of each packet and carefully unfold the foil to release the steam.
