Crowd-pleasing sweet and sour grilled chicken wings - the perfect party appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 pinch garlic powder
  • 1 pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1.3333333730698 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 0.5 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
Instructions:
  • Preheat an outdoor grill to medium heat and brush the grate lightly with oil.
  • Rinse chicken wings and gently dry them. Season with a light dusting of garlic powder and cayenne pepper.
  • Grill until perfectly crispy on the outside and fully cooked at the bone, turning occasionally, for 20 to 25 minutes, or until an instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone reads 165 degrees F (74 degrees C).
  • As the wings grill, blend sugar, vinegar, chicken broth, ketchup, and soy sauce in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil and simmer until the sauce reduces by half.
  • Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Arrange the wings in a spacious baking dish and generously drizzle the sauce on top of them.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes until flavors marry.
