Try our BBQ sweet potato foil packets for a hassle-free and flavorful side dish. Choose dark sweet potatoes, wrap them in foil with just 6 ingredients, and enjoy easy clean-up while spending more time with loved ones.
Ingredients:
  • 2 medium dark-orange sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 medium yellow bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives
Instructions:
  • Prepare the grill for direct heat. Take an 18x18-inch piece of heavy-duty foil and coat it with cooking spray. Arrange sweet potatoes and bell pepper in the center of the foil.
  • Combine butter, honey, and seasoned salt in a small bowl. Pour over the potato mixture and stir well to combine. Wrap the vegetables in foil, sealing the edges tightly with a 1/2-inch fold, then fold again, leaving space for circulation and expansion.
  • Grill the packet over medium heat for 15 to 20 minutes until sweet potatoes are tender. Transfer the packet to a serving platter, cut a large X across the top, unfold the foil, and sprinkle with chives.
