Marinated grilled tri-tip with soy-Italian dressing for a perfectly smoky flavor explosion.
Ingredients:
  • 0.33333334326744 cup Italian salad dressing
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 (2 1/2 pound) beef tri-tip roast
Instructions:
  • Combine Italian dressing, water, soy sauce, honey, liquid smoke, garlic powder, salt, and red pepper flakes in a bowl. Transfer marinade to a large resealable plastic bag. Add roast, coat well, remove excess air, and seal. Refrigerate for 4 hours to overnight.
  • Preheat a sizzling outdoor grill and lightly oil the grate. Take the roast out of the bag and toss the marinade.
  • Grill the roast over medium-low heat until reaching your preferred doneness, usually 35 to 45 minutes. Use a meat thermometer to check the center temperature, aiming for 140 degrees F (60 degrees C). Let the roast rest covered with foil for about 15 minutes before slicing.
