Fun and festive Grinch M&M cookies with crispy edges and soft centers, perfect for holiday cheer!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.75 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.75 cup light brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 20 drops green food coloring
  • 1 cup red and green candy-coated chocolate pieces (such as M&M's®)
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) while you prepare a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Add egg, vanilla extract, and food coloring, mixing well. Gradually incorporate the flour mixture into the wet ingredients until the green color is evenly distributed. Fold in roughly 3/4 cup of M&M's. The batter will be thick.
  • Scoop tablespoonfuls of dough and shape into balls. Arrange on the baking sheets and adorn by lightly pressing extra M&M's onto the surfaces of the balls.
  • Place in the oven already heated, for approximately 10 minutes.
