Spicy pasta with creamy habanero sauce - a fiery delight for spice lovers!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cavatappi pasta
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 medium shallot, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1 dried habanero pepper, chopped
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 large tomato, diced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
  • Bring a generously salted pot of water to a vigorous boil. Cook pasta until al dente, for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • As the pasta is boiling, gently melt butter and olive oil in a skillet. Introduce shallot, garlic, and habanero pepper to the sizzling pan. Sauté until they turn golden and release their enticing aroma, approximately 2 minutes. Take the skillet off the heat.
  • Simmer cream in a saucepan over medium heat. Add shallot mixture, tomato, flour, and black pepper. Cook until thickened, 5 to 8 minutes. Stir in Parmesan cheese. Set aside while pasta cooks.
  • Drain the pasta and elegantly plate it before generously spooning the sauce over the top.
