Spooky pecan cookies shaped like fingers with almond 'nails' for a ghoulish Halloween treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 0.75 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup ground pecans
  • 50 almonds
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) and lay down a sheet of parchment paper on a baking tray.
  • 1. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy with an electric mixer. Add vanilla extract and salt. Stir in flour and ground pecans. Roll 1 tablespoon of dough into a 3-inch long, 3/4-inch wide finger shape. Repeat with remaining dough to make around 50 fingers.
  • Give each finger dough some space to grow by placing them 2 inches apart on the baking sheet. Adorn the ends of each finger with an almond "nail" and gently create "knuckles" in the center using a knife.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for around 20 minutes until golden brown and set. Allow it to cool before serving.
