Ham and Asparagus Casserole

Delectable ham and asparagus pot pie with a buttery biscuit topping.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups 1-inch pieces asparagus
  • 1 1/2 cups diced fully cooked ham
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of asparagus soup
  • 1 cup shredded Italian-style cheese blend (4 ounces)
  • 1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 3/4 cup milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 400°F. In a 3-quart saucepan, bring asparagus, ham, milk, soup, and 3/4 cup of cheese to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil and stir for 1 minute. Transfer the mixture to an ungreased 2-quart casserole dish.
  • Blend the Bisquick mix, milk, and remaining 1/4 cup of cheese in a small bowl until smooth. Drizzle the mixture evenly over the ham.
  • Bake without covering for around 30 minutes, or until the top is beautifully golden and a toothpick inserted into the biscuit layer comes out clean.
