Try these savory ham, cheese, and egg mini-cobs for a kid-friendly meal with minimal clean-up.
Ingredients:
  • 4 small crusty bread rolls or cob-style bread rolls
  • 100g English Ham
  • 130g (1 1/4 cups) coarsely grated pizza cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 20.20 gm pouring cream
  • Chopped fresh parsley or snipped chives, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 180C/160C fan-forced. Line an oven tray with non-stick baking paper. Cut off the top quarter of each bread roll and set aside. Hollow out the center of each roll to make a cavity.
  • Arrange 2 slices of ham in each muffin cup, overlapping to form a cup shape. Fill each cup with 1/4 cup of cheese. Place the rolls on the baking tray. Crack an egg into each cup, ensuring not to overflow. Drizzle 1 teaspoon of cream over each egg and sprinkle 1/3 cup of cheese on top. Loosely cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Take the stuffed rolls out of the oven. Put the bread lids on the tray cut-side up next to the rolls and sprinkle the remaining cheese around the edge of the rolls and over the lids. Cover the rolls with foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes until the cheese has melted and eggs are just set but soft. Garnish with parsley or chives, then serve with the cheesy lids.
