Ham and pierogies cooked in creamy mushroom sauce for a comforting meal.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 2 (12.8 ounce) boxes frozen potato pierogies
  • 2 (8 ounce) ham steaks, diced
  • 1 (4.5 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 2 green onions, diced, or to taste
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 pinch garlic powder, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare a jelly roll pan by lining it with aluminum foil and spraying it with cooking spray.
  • Place the pierogies neatly on the pan and lightly coat them with cooking spray.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for a total of 18-20 minutes, flipping pierogies halfway through, until they are lightly golden.
  • In a large frying pan over medium heat, sizzle butter until melted. Sauté ham, mushrooms, green onions, and garlic in the fragrant butter until ham and mushrooms are golden, for 5 to 10 minutes. Add pierogies to the flavorful mix; simmer until well combined, approximately 5 minutes.
  • Combine mushroom soup, sour cream, and milk in a bowl. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Pour the flavorful mixture over the ham-pierogie mix. Cook and stir until warm, about 5 to 10 minutes.
