Impress your guests with a delicious Southern-style sandwich ring featuring smoked ham and creamy homemade pimiento cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 2 cans (11 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original French Bread
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 block (8 oz) sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded (2 cups)
  • 1 jar (4 oz) diced pimiento, drained
  • 1 lb sliced smoked ham
  • 4 large leaves leaf lettuce
  • 8 slices bacon, crisply cooked
  • 1/2 medium red onion, thinly sliced
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F and generously spray a 12-cup fluted tube cake pan with cooking spray.
  • Remove the dough from both cans without unrolling and place in a pan, forming a circle. Pinch the ends together to seal it into one ring.
  • Bake for 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown. Allow the bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a cooling rack. Let it cool completely for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • In a medium bowl, mix mayonnaise, pickle juice, onion powder, shredded cheese, and pimiento until well combined. Chill until ready to make the sandwich ring.
  • Slice the cooled bread ring in half horizontally with precision. Layer the bottom bread ring with ham, followed by lettuce, bacon, tomatoes, and onion. Spread the cheese-pimiento mixture on the top half of the bread ring and then assemble by placing the top ring over the bottom ring.
