Zesty lemon syrup + vodka = refreshing hard lemonade.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lemon
  • 4 cups water, or as needed, divided
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 6 large lemons, juiced
  • 1.5 cups vodka
  • 1 cup ice cubes, or as needed
  • 1 large lemon, sliced
Instructions:
  • Using a knife, zest 1 lemon into large pieces. Transfer the lemon zest to a saucepan, add 1 cup water and sugar. Boil the mixture, stirring occasionally, until the sugar dissolves and liquid is syrupy, 5 to 10 minutes. Remove saucepan from heat, cool, then discard the lemon zest.
  • Combine fresh lemon juice and crisp vodka in a pitcher, then add zesty lemon syrup. Dilute with water until the pitcher is full.
  • Add ice to glasses and pour the refreshing hard lemonade into them. Complete by elegantly garnishing each glass with a fresh lemon slice.
