Indulge in a flavorful hard-boiled egg casserole with a creamy blend of spices and two cheeses for a uniquely delicious and satisfying meal.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups half-and-half
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 8 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and halved
  • 0.5 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and butter a 9-inch square baking dish.
  • In a saucepan over gentle heat, melt butter until fragrant. Add flour, whisk until smooth, about 2-3 minutes. Slowly pour in half-and-half, whisk until luxurious and creamy, approximately 5 minutes. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and mustard. Gently fold in Gruyère cheese until velvety and glossy.
  • Place the eggs cut-side down in the baking dish. Drizzle sauce generously over the eggs and top with a generous sprinkle of Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake until golden brown and bubbly, about 20-25 minutes in the preheated oven.
