Advance prep is key with this delicious potato bake, perfect for your make-ahead meal lineup.
Ingredients:
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 container (8 ounces) sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 bag (30 ounces) frozen shredded hash brown potatoes, partially thawed
  • 8 medium green onions, sliced (1/2 cup)
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 ounces)
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F and generously grease a 13x9x2 inch rectangular baking dish with shortening.
  • Combine the soups, sour cream, milk, and pepper in a large bowl. Mix in the potatoes and onions, then transfer the mixture into a baking dish.
  • Bake uncovered for 30 minutes, then sprinkle with cheese and continue baking for an additional 15-20 minutes, until golden brown on top and bubbly around the edges.
