Elevate French toast with hazelnut liqueur infused brioche.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup beaten eggs
  • 1 cup half-and-half
  • 2 tablespoons hazelnut liqueur (such as Frangelico®)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, divided, or more as needed
  • 12 pieces brioche (about 1 1/2-inch thick)
  • 1 cup toasted hazelnuts, chopped
  • 0.5 cup maple syrup, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Combine eggs, half-and-half, and hazelnut liqueur in a shallow bowl and whisk until smooth.
  • Melt 1 teaspoon of butter in a large skillet, ensuring it coats the entire surface by tilting the skillet.
  • Coat both sides of 2 brioche slices in the egg mixture until moistened.
  • Sear brioche in a hot skillet until golden brown on each side, about 2 to 4 minutes. Repeat with remaining bread slices.
  • Diagonally halve each brioche slice, then sprinkle with hazelnuts and drizzle with maple syrup for a delicious finish.
